From Kenyan to the NFL

Rugby star Daniel Adongo from Kenyan was recently signed by the colts and has already seen special team action He spent 13 weeks of the season on the practice squad playing outside linebacker. Now your thinking whats the big deal? When the colts signed Adongo in July he didn't even know ho to put on pads. Four months later he is making an impact on special teams, and could become a starter in the league. The colts watched rugby film and saw some potential with speed and strong tackling skills. This guy is a beast since joining the colts he already gained 30 pounds making him 270. He is a scary athlete, playing rugby myself Adongo seems like a man among boys. Looking forward to see the impact he can make in the NFL.

Who Wins the Circus Act???

This week it sports had two "comedian" acts in which head coaches try to play off free time outs or help to contribute or not. They both were caught, possibly facing penalties which is highly doubtful. I mean come guys you are professional coaches, if your going to cheat do it in a more secluded way. Leaving the final key words "Come on man".

Here new head coach Jason Kidd tries to buy extra time by spelling out "Hit Me" to one of players to knock over  a cup of water. Everyone could easily tell what was going. At least try to make it look like a accident.

Although Kidds antidote was some what amusing, it can't compare to the trick Mike Tomlin tried to play during Thursdays game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Finishing off turkey night football, Jacoby Jones was taking a kick-off back which liked to be a score until he ran into past Pittsburgh Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin who was on the field appearing to watching the kick-off on the opposite side  scoreboard. This resulted in Jones to lose speed letting more Steelers players pursue and make the tackle. Although this incident didn't change the score it still was a point of recognition guarding a coaching fault that occurred on purpose. Tomlin should have realized his location to prevent his from happening which could
result in some sort of sanctions.

So my question is to everyone is which incident is more obvious or which one could of had changed the game. In addition should either coach be fined or suspended. Personally I believe that neither should face sanctions, they should get enough for looking so unprofessional on a national stage. However next time if some type of issue occurs that league should handle the situation in an appropriate manner

Upset tonight??

Today is Thursday once again meaning another NFL network game. Tonights game will contain the New Orlean Saints (8-2) vs the Atlanta Falcons (2-8). Most people at the start of the season would of thought that this game would be a very critical game in the NFC South playoff picture. However this isn't the case at all. Atlanta has had injures all year including losing top NFL reciver Julio Jones to a season ending injury. Also Roddy White and Steven Jackson both are finally getting to full health. Even though the game will be in the Georgia Dome Atlanta is still the under dog by 9.5 points. Getting their stars back could prove that Atlanta might have a shot at winning this game. Only time will tell with a 8:25 kickoff on NFL Network.

LeBron James and Soccer???????

If you didn't know already, Lebron James has a stake in English Premier League with the team Liverpool. He has been following the sport since he joined the NBA. Now talks are heard of that Lebron and retired MLS star David Beckham are trying to possibly bring a MLS franchise to South Beach. Both have showed sign of interests in getting a team Lebron stated  "David has become a good friend of mine over the last few years, and I think it would be great for this city to have a football club for sure."Beckham attends a lot of Miami Heat games. South Florida has been without a team since 2001 when the Fusion folded out. The team only lasted from 1998 to 2001 with the games being played in Fort Lauderdale.LeBron believes that this area has great youth soccer, and that it would be a great area to have a MLS team. In addition to the Liverpool club James owns a sports store in Miami mall, and his Wife Savannah plans to open up a juice bar near their home in Coconut Grove. Overall James seems to be playing it smart both on and off the court.

Not Far From Home

It wasn't over a week till all-pro safety Ed Reed found a new home with the New York Jets. Reed was already familiar with the Jets scheme because of the experience with Rex Ryan. Ryan helped coach the Ravens defensive when Reed was exploding onto the scene. Long time friend Rex Ryan didn't heist in playing Reed for he was on the field for almost every snap recording one solo tackle and two assists. One
big play was a tackle in the backfield on a TJ Graham reverse. In addition Tom Brady reached out to Reed to get him to join the Patirots, however Ed Reed made it very clear he was joining the Jets. With the Jets being a rollercoaster team time will only tell if Ed Reed can help turn things around in New York.

Is the Era Coming to an End

All good things come to an end, for Ed Reed his career might just be over. Today the Houston Texans are expected to release Reed however it is not official yet. He signed a three year deal worth fifteen million dollars, but his year was plagued with injures and off season surgery. Ed seems to know his destiny already tweeting "Thanks to the Texans! And the city of H Town" his career might be coming to a halt today if nobody is to show any interest. Reed only had sixteen tackles in seven games this year.
It will be hard for teams to completely put Reed at of the picture he has lead the league three times in INTS in his twelve year career. In addition he has made the Pro Bowl nine times and led the Ravens to two Super Bowl victories. In 160 games he has obtained sixty-one INTS. However what puts Ed Reed above the rest is his leadership skills he provided for the Ravens. Even though Ray Lewis was the main component, Reed led the Ravens in quiet leadership for all those years. He will go down as one of the best safeties to ever play the game, surely he will be inducted to the Hall of Fame.

Here are some of Ed Reeds best plays he has made throughout his career that will lead him into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Whos better??????

If you watched NFL two weekends ago or if you been watching ESPN lately you would have seen Dez Bryant all over the news. Yes he had a good game with three receptions for seventy-two yards and a pair of TDS. However what made news was his in game antics of what appeared to be him throwing a fit saying he wanted the ball. I mean its ok if you show a emotion and want to win but the way he did was like an immature junior high player. Instead of yelling at teammates he showed go out there and perform like he can. Earlier in the week he admitted that he was on the same level as Calvin Johnson, however clearly this wasn't the case on Sunday. Johnson is one of the classy players in the NFL, oh and not to mention he caught fourteen balls for 329 yards plus a score. So who did you think is the better receiver.
