It wasn't over a week till all-pro safety Ed Reed found a new home with the New York Jets. Reed was already familiar with the Jets scheme because of the experience with Rex Ryan. Ryan helped coach the Ravens defensive when Reed was exploding onto the scene. Long time friend Rex Ryan didn't heist in playing Reed for he was on the field for almost every snap recording one solo tackle and two assists. One
big play was a tackle in the backfield on a TJ Graham reverse. In addition Tom Brady reached out to Reed to get him to join the Patirots, however Ed Reed made it very clear he was joining the Jets. With the Jets being a rollercoaster team time will only tell if Ed Reed can help turn things around in New York.

I'm surprised he signed with someone so quick....as he did nothing with the Texans. I thought he would wait till closer to the playoffs to sign with someone
ReplyDeleteI think it was a smart choice for Reed to go there because he wasn't to unfamiliar with the style he would have to play because he played for Rex Ryan before.
